Pistons
PMI has been working to create a full inventory of pistons for both the 230
and the 250 Pontiac OHC engines - plus a series of custom pistons for
non-standard connecting rod and bore size combinations! Our efforts have been
focused not only on cast replacement pistons, but also hypereutectic pistons
with tighter tolerances and lower expansion rates than forged pistons. Modern
forged piston technology allows for tighter bore clearances and fits, leading to
quieter warm-ups. The high strength of forged pistons over any cast pistons
makes them ideal in any application.
