Our complete rebuild kit has all the parts you need to replace every wear part in the assembly, along with a new set of gaskets.

If your housing or oil pump cover plate are excessively worn or damaged, contact Primatech for replacement parts. We carry both stock flat plates and deep high volume plates for use with high volume gear sets. We also offer pressure balanced end plates and housings:

Rebuilt Accessory Drives

Primatech Motorsports is also proud to offer completely rebuilt accessory drive assemblies. All pricing is outright with no exchange required. If you have an oil pump / accessory drive assembly in good condition, PMI will credit you $50.00 after we receive and inspect it.

Stock rebuilt

Each unit is completely disassembled; all parts are cleaned and inspected. PMI only rebuilds accessory drives with gear to housing clearances within factory specifications.

Rebuilding includes all new wear parts:

HP-1 High Performance rebuilt

PMI’s High Performance rebuild includes all of the stock rebuild components and attention to details. In addition, we add a bearing to the main shaft at the distributor gear and set the shaft end-play, improving the stability of both the main and distributor shafts, resulting in more stable ignition timing. We also radius the oil passage feed holes throughout the pump and remove all casting flash in the oil path.

 

HP-2 High Performance High Volume Rebuilt

25% more volume than the stock oil pump.  Because of the unique design of the Pontiac OHC lash adjuster oiling circuit, oil flow through the rod and crankshaft bearings can cause flow rate variations that can result in improper oil pressure in the lash adjuster circuit. A high volume oil pump can help maintain the proper pressures in all parts of the motor, even with excessive clearances in the bearings. Our high volume oil pumps are set to factory pressure settings.

 

HP-3 Racing Performance

In addition to higher volume pump gears and closer gear-to-housing clearances, PMI adds pressure balancing, drilled and lock-wired cover bolts, externally-adjustable pressure regulator and two auxiliary ports for direct command of the lash adjuster and camshaft oiling circuits. Hard Chromed and Polished shaft with two precision roller bearings and a roller thrust bearing are also standard.

(Pressure balancing provides smoother continuous oil flow with “feeder grooves” that bleed pressure across the pump gears, providing smoother operation and more constant pressure. This permits higher RPM operation and eliminates pump cavitation.)
